Wilford Brimley was an American actor and singer. After serving in the Marines, he established himself as a character actor and appeared in films such as Cocoon, Brigham City, Tender Mercies, The Natural, The Thing, and The Firm alongside Tom Cruise. He was also the recognizable face on advertisements for the Quaker Oats Company. Brimley passed away in 2020.
