George Chakiris is an American actor. He played Bernardo in the 1961 film version of West Side Story, for which he received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. Chakiris has also appeared in films such as 633 Squadron, Diamond Head, Kings of the Sun, and The Young Girls of Rochefort.
