Hisaya Morishige was a Japanese actor. He appeared in the Station Front (Ekimae) series produced by Toho and in films across contemporary and jidaigeki genres. Morishige also starred in the film Zatoichi at Large alongside Shintarô Katsu and Mikuni Rentaro. He served as the longtime head of the Japan Actors Union and received the Order of Culture from the Emperor of Japan in 1991. Morishige passed away in 2009.
