Kirstie Alley was an American actress. She played Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and starred as Rebecca Howe in the sitcom Cheers. Alley appeared in the films For Richer or Poorer, It Takes Two, and David's Mother. She received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy for Cheers and two Primetime Emmy Awards: one for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Cheers and another for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie, for David's Mother. Alley also starred in the sitcom Veronica's Closet, appeared in the series North and South, Scream Queens, and the film Profoundly Normal. She also hosted the podcast Kirstie Alley On The Verge.
