Brock Peters was an American actor (1927-2005). Peters was best known for his roles as Crown in the 1959 film Porgy and Bess and as Tom Robinson in 1962's To Kill a Mockingbird. His other notable film roles include Carmen Jones, Ghosts of Mississippi, and Soylent Green. He also produced the film Five On the Black Hand Side.
