Jean Stapleton was an American actress. Her film credits include Damn Yankees, Klute, Michael alongside John Travolta, and You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks. She also had a recurring role in the daytime drama Woman with a Past. She appeared in All in the Family from 1971 to 1979, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
