Will Rogers was an American humorist and entertainer (1879-1935). He performed as a rider and trick roper in the Wirth Brothers Circus in Australia before touring with Zack Mulhall’s Cowboy Carnival back in the U.S. An incident at Madison Square Garden, in which he roped a steer away from the crowd, put him in the spotlight. He would become a star on the vaudeville circuit.
Rogers also appeared in films such as The Headless Horseman, A Connecticut Yankee, Doctor Bull, State Fair, and Judge Priest.
