American actress, singer, and entrepreneur

Polly Bergen was an American actress, singer, and entrepreneur. She signed a contract with Paramount Studios after producer Hal B. Wallis discovered her. Bergen appeared in films such as At War with the Army, Cape Fear, Cry Baby alongside Johnny Depp and Willem Dafoe, In the Blink of an Eye, and Move Over, Darling. She released Little Girl Blue. Bergen released singles including Monsieur Boum-Boum (Mr. Bassman) and Dominique/Deep River/Swing Low, Sweet Chariot with Sandler & Young, as well as What The World Needs Now Is Love. She received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for Playhouse 90. Bergen passed away in 2014.
