American comedian, actor, and filmmaker

Chris Rock is an American comedian, actor, and filmmaker. He is regarded as one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time. He began performing in Manhattan comedy clubs as a teenager, joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1990, and later hosted the show. He gained acclaim for his stand-up comedy specials, including Bring the Pain, Bigger & Blacker, and Selective Outrage, which earned him multiple Emmy Awards. Rock has appeared in films such as Beverly Hills Cop II, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, The Longest Yard, and Grown Ups. He also voiced Marty the Zebra in the Madagascar franchise. He has directed the films Head of State and Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo, produced the film Death at a Funeral, and the series Everybody Hates Chris.
