American actor and singer

Frankie Avalon is an American actor and singer. He performed regularly in a local group called Rocco and the Saints with future teen idol Bobby Rydell. Avalon signed to Chancellor Records and released his signature tune Venus, which reached number one on the pop charts in 1959. He has starred in several films, including the Beach Party film franchise, The Alamo, The Castilian, I'll Take Sweden, and The Take. Avalon had a supporting role in Grease, in which he performed the song Beauty School Dropout.
