Stanley Holloway

British actor, singer and comedian

Stanley Holloway was a British actor, singer, and comedian. He appeared in the variety show troupe The Co-Optimists, whose act was adapted into a feature film in 1929. Holloway also narrated propaganda shorts during WWII and starred in films including This Happy Breed, Brief Encounter, Hamlet, My Fair Lady alongside Audrey Hepburn, and The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes alongside Christopher Lee. One of his most popular songs is Old Sam’s Party Part 2. Stanley Holloway died in 1982.
