

Edith Evans
English actress (1888–1976)
Edith Evans was a British actress. In the 1910s, she appeared in a few early silent films, but didn't return to the screen until 1948. Evans starred in films such as The Importance of Being Earnest, The Nun's Story alongside Audrey Hepburn, and Tom Jones. She also starred in The Whisperers for which she received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Motion Picture Drama. She passed away in 1976.
