Mel Gibson is an American actor and filmmaker. He played the role of Max Rockatansky in the Mad Max franchise and has appeared in films such as Daddy's Home 2, Hot Seat, Panama, and The Continental. He also starred in the Lethal Weapon franchise. Gibson received the Academy Award for Best Director and Best Picture, as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Director, for his work on Braveheart in which he also starred. He has directed The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto, and produced Get the Gringo and Flight Risk.
