Rita Moreno is a Puerto Rican singer, dancer and actress. She played Anita in the 1961 film adaptation of West Side Story, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also appeared in Singin' in the Rain and joined the original cast of The Electric Company. Moreno won a Primetime Emmy Award for Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program for her appearance on The Muppet Show. She has also appeared in Oz and Happily Divorced.
