Alabama is an American country music band. Formed in Fort Payne, Alabama, in 1969, they’re one of country’s most successful bands of all time, having amassed over 30 No. 1s on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, starting with 1980’s Tennessee River and including Mountain Music, Dixieland Delight, and I’m In a Hurry (And Don't Know Why).

The band’s most popular albums include My Home's In Alabama, Feels So Right, Mountain Music, The Closer You Get..., and Southern Drawl. They ceased regular performances in 2004 but have since performed on various tours, including a notable set of 50th-anniversary shows in 2019. Alabama appears in the concert film Alabama & Friends: at the Ryman.
