American rock band
Alice In Chains are an American rock band. Fronted by vocalist Layne Staley, they released the EP Sap, the album Dirt, and another EP, Jar of Flies, before performing an iconic MTV Unplugged set in 1996, which was released as an album titled MTV Unplugged. The set featured performances of some of their most popular songs including Nutshell and Rooster. After a hiatus, the band revived in 2006 with William DuVall taking over lead vocals.
