Sean Penn is an American actor and filmmaker. He is known for his roles in the 1981 film Taps, The Thin Red Line, Mystic River and Milk, for which he won Best Actor Academy Awards, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Asphalt City alongside Mike Tyson. He has also appeared in the television series Gaslit and The First. Behind the camera, Penn has directed such films as The Pledge and Into the Wild.
