Dean Wareham is a New Zealand musician. He was the lead singer-songwriter-guitarist of Galaxie 500. He later formed the duo Dean & Britta with Luna bandmate Britta Phillips. Wareham has released several albums, including Emancipated Hearts, I Have Nothing to Say to the Mayor of L.A., and Dean Wareham vs. Cheval Sombre in collaboration with Cheval Sombre. He has also worked on soundtracks. His most popular songs include That's the Price of Loving Me, You Were the Ones I Had to Betray, and If I Could Only Fly with Cheval Sombre. Wareham has appeared in the film Mistress America, starring Greta Gerwig.
