Mahershala Ali is an American actor. He played Juan in Moonlight, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance. He starred in Hidden Figures, Green Book, for which he won another Academy Award, and lent his voice to the animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Ali also appeared in and produced the Apple Original Film Swan Song. His television credits include roles in Crossing Jordan, Ramy, and True Detective.
