Vonda Shepard is an American singer. She toured as a backup singer for Jackson Browne and Rickie Lee Jones before signing with Reprise Records. She later released albums including From the Sun, It's Good, Eve, and the soundtrack album Songs from Ally McBeal. Shepard appeared in the TV show Ally McBeal from 1997 to 2002, during which time Searchin' My Soul, the theme song for the show, became one of her most popular songs. Other popular songs from Shepard include Can't We Try with Dan Hill and Maryland.
