Billy Vera is an American singer-songwriter. He wrote for singers such as Barbara Lewis and Rick Nelson during the mid-1960s. Vera’s 1981 single At This Moment featured on the TV sitcom Family Ties and topped the pop charts in 1987, and he sang the theme songs for TV shows such as The King of Queens and Empty Nest. He has released the albums Storybook Children, Big Band Jazz, and The Billy Vera Story. Vera has appeared in the documentary Little Richard: I Am Everything and the films Desperate For Love and The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.
