

Steve Cropper
American guitarist, songwriter, and record producer
Steve Cropper is an American guitarist, songwriter, and record producer. He served as a guitarist in the Stax Records house band, Booker T. & the M.G.'s. Cropper co-wrote Dock of the Bay and was a member of The Blues Brothers. He released the albums Friendlytown with The Midnight Hour and Jammed Together with Pops Staples and Albert King. He also released the album With a Little Help From My Friends. Cropper's other popular songs include Too Much Stress, which he collaborated on with Brian May, and Opus de Soul with Pops Staples. He appeared in the Blues Brothers franchise and the mockumentary The Compleat Al. Cropper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Booker T. & the M.G.'s in 1992.
