David Johansen, sometimes known as Buster Poindexter, was an American musician. He released albums including Buster Poindexter, David Johansen, and Live It Up. Poindexter worked with Kimiko Glenn on the song My Collection. He performed live at the Catskills in the summer of 1992. Poindexter won a record contract with RCA. Poindexter has also appeared in films such as Scrooged, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, and Mr. Nanny.
