Van Dyke Parks is an American musician, songwriter, arranger, and record producer. He wrote lyrics for the Beach Boys' SMiLE album and released the albums Song Cycle, Discover America, and ¡Spangled!. Parks has popular songs including Big Rock Candy Mountain, It's a 'B' Movie, and Worthless with David Newman. He has also appeared in the film The Swan with Grace Kelly and the documentary Peter Case: A Million Miles Away.
