
Bertie Carvel
Bertie Carvel is a British actor, singer, and director. He originated the role of Miss Trunchbull in the West End and Broadway productions of Matilda The Musical and played Rupert Murdoch in the Broadway production of Ink. Carvel has also appeared in film, including the adaptation of Les Misérables and the Apple TV+ film The Tragedy of Macbeth. On television, he has starred in Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, Agatha Christie: The Pale Horse alongside Kaya Scodelario, Dalgliesh, Doctor Foster, and The Sister.
