David Ogden Stiers was an American actor (1942-2018). He performed with the San Francisco Actors' Workshop and studied voice and drama at the Juilliard School, where he was mentored by John Houseman. Stiers was among the first players of The Acting Company alongside Kevin Kline and Patti LuPone. His film credits include Better Off Dead, Jungle 2 Jungle, and The Majestic with Jim Carrey. Stiers also appeared in the television series M*A*S*H  and The Dead Zone.
