Alex Honnold is an American rock climber. He is renowned for his free solo climbing achievements, particularly his historic free solo ascent of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, making him the first person to accomplish this feat. Through his free solo ascents of big walls, Honnold has pushed the boundaries of what is considered possible in rock climbing. Honnold has risen to worldwide fame for his free solo climbing exploits, which have captivated audiences globally. He has appeared in the documentaries Valley Uprising, The Alpinist, and hosted Duct Tape Then Beer's Wilderness podcast Climbing Gold.
