Latto
Latto is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. Her first brush with fame—while billed as Miss Mulatto—came when she won a record deal from Jermaine Dupri on the reality TV series The Rap Game in 2016. (She turned it down, opting to be an independent artist instead.) Latto gained mainstream attention with her breakout single B***h From Da Souf in 2019, which went double platinum and paved the way for her 2020 debut album Queen of Da Souf. Her follow-up 777 included the hit Big Energy.
Some of her other popular songs are Blick Sum, Brokey, and Big Mama. Latto has collaborated with Mariah Carey, Gucci Mane, Playboi Carti, and Cardi B, and in 2022, she hosted her own Apple Music radio show called Latto’s 777 Radio.

- MAY 29, 2026 Big Mama

Within a month of welcoming her first child, Latto delivers her fourth full-length—one she’s referred to on social media as her “retirement album.” The high point of Latto’s third album Sugar Honey Iced Tea was a track called “Big Mama,” which flipped from sweet to savage halfway through. Maybe it was a premonition: In March 2026, the Atlanta rapper announced her fourth album Big Mama with a cover that revealed that she was pregnant with her first child. (She gave birth to her daughter in May.) Latto has also hinted that the album might be her last: “My retirement album,” she posted on X. “Thank you for everything.” If that’s the case, she’s going out with a bang. “I’m going in with nothing but some water and prenatals,” she raps on “Business & Personal.” She channels Aaliyah on “Somebody,” mean-mugs with GloRilla on “GOMF,” and gets cozy with baby daddy 21 Savage on the soul-sampling “Hostage.” The mood is split between tough and romantic—as she says on “Need Luv 2” with Sexyy Red, “Gangsta bitches need love too.”
