American jazz drummer, pianist, and composer
Jack DeJohnette is an American jazz drummer, pianist, and composer. He formed the trio Gateway with John Abercrombie and Dave Holland in the '70s and formed the band Special Edition shortly thereafter. DeJohnette has released several notable albums, including Blue Maqams with Anouar Brahem and Holland, Standards, Vol. 1 with Keith Jarrett and Gary Peacock, and Timeless with Jan Hammer and John Abercrombie. Some of his most popular songs include All the Things You Are with Jarrett and Peacock, Lush Life with Geri Allen and Holland, and Tony Then Jack with John Scofield and John Medeski.
