

Janis Joplin
American singer
Janis Joplin was an American singer. She embarked on a solo career in 1968, released the album I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama!, and performed at Woodstock in 1969. In 1970, Joplin assembled the Full Tilt Boogie Band and appeared on the album Pearl (1971) released three months after her death. Her most popular songs include Me and Bobby McGee, Piece of My Heart with Big Brother & The Holding Company, and Move Over.
