

Bob Crosby
American jazz singer and bandleader
Bob Crosby was an American jazz singer and bandleader (1913-1993). He was the brother of singer and actor Bing Crosby. In the pre-swing era years he sang with Anson Weeks and then the Dorsey Brothers before creating his own bands, Bob Crosby and His Orchestra and Bob Crosby & The Bob Cats. Crosby released the song South Rampart Street Parade and albums including Presenting the Bob Crosby Show and Transcription Sessions 1936, Vol. 1. He took over the role of bandleader on The Jack Benny Program on both radio and television. Crosby appeared in the film The Five Pennies.
