Jimmy Martin was an American bluegrass singer (1927-2005). He released albums including 20 Greatest Hits, The King Of Bluegrass, and First Time Together with Ralph Stanley. Martin has popular songs including In the Pines with Stanley, Prayer Bells of Heaven, and Hit Parade of Love. Following a tenure with Bill Monroe and His Bluegrass Boys, Martin initiated his solo career. He later appeared in the film West to Glory in 1974.
