Bob Marley was a Jamaican reggae musician. Through a string of groundbreaking recordings and global tours, he is best known for popularizing reggae music worldwide.


With his band The Wailers, he released 13 studio albums including Burnin’, Catch A Fire, Natty Dread, Exodus, and Kaya, as well as the compilation album Legend - The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers. It became the best-selling reggae album of all time, containing many of his most popular songs, such as Is This Love, No Woman, No Cry, One Love/People Get Ready, Get Up, Stand Up, Redemption Song, Jamming, I Shot the Sheriff, and Buffalo Soldier.
Marley passed away in 1981 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame posthumously in 1994. Bob Marley: One Love, a movie about his life, was released in 2024.
