Issa Rae is an American actress, writer, and producer. She created and starred in the YouTube series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl, and later appeared in the series Insecure, the Apple TV+ series Roar, and the films American Fiction, The Hate U Give, The Photograph, and Barbie alongside Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie. She has also produced the film One of Them Days and the series A Black Lady Sketch Show.
