Paul Plishka was an operatic bass. He released the albums Bellini: I Puritani with Edita Gruberova and Richard Bonynge, Donizetti: Anna Bolena with the London Symphony Orchestra and Shirley Verrett, and Donizetti: Lucia di Lammermoor with The Metropolitan Opera and Renata Scotto. Among his notable recordings are Turandot, Act II: In questa Reggia from Puccini’s Turandot, Le nozze di Figaro, K. 492: La vendetta, oh, la vendetta from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and Tosca, Act I: Tutta Qui la Cantoria! Presto! from Puccini’s Tosca. Plishka appeared in the film La Bohème and passed away in 2025.
