

Leonard Rosenman
American composer (1924-2008)
Leonard Rosenman was an American composer. He studied composition under Arnold Schoenberg and Roger Sessions, and earned a fellowship to study with Luigi Dallapiccola at Boston University's Tanglewood Institute. Rosenman won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Barry Lyndon and released albums including Battle for the Planet of the Apes, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and the 1978 animated film The Lord of the Rings. Rosenman passed away in 2008.
