Thomas A. Dorsey, aka Georgia Tom, was an American musician, composer, and Christian evangelist (1899-1993). Dorsey was influential in the development of early blues and 20th-century gospel music. His albums include Early Blues Of The '20s & '30s, Georgia Tom (Thomas A. Dorsey) Vol. 2, and Precious Lord Recordings Of The Great Gospel Songs Of Thomas A. Dorsey. Dorsey appeared in the documentary Say Amen, Somebody. His songs include Take My Hand, Precious Lord, If You See My Savior, and Search Me Lord.
