Howlin' Wolf was an American blues musician (1910-1976). He is widely regarded as one of the most influential blues musicians of all time. He made his first electric recordings with Memphis producer Sam Phillips before relocating to Chicago, where he became a key figure in the city's blues scene. In 1952, he signed with Chess Records, where he released iconic albums such as Howlin' Wolf, Moanin' in the Moonlight, and The Real Folk Blues . His most popular songs include Smokestack Lightnin', Evil (Is Going On) and Spoonful.
