John Cale is a Welsh composer, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He was a founding member of the Velvet Underground, released the album Vintage Violence, and produced seminal albums by Patti Smith, the Stooges, and the Modern Lovers. Cale's most popular songs include Hallelujah (Fragments), Spinning Away with Brian Eno, and Big White Cloud. He has appeared in the Apple Original Film The Velvet Underground, the documentary Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song, and the documentary Velvet Underground: Under Review.
