French conductor
Louis Langrée is a French conductor. He began his recording career with the Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Lyon and has since released albums including Mozart Heroines with Natalie Dessay and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and Mozart x 3 with Kammerorchester Basel and Elsa Dreisig. Langrée has also released Ravel: Concertos - Falla: Noches en los jardines de España featuring Alexandre Tharaud on piano with the Orchestre National de France.
He has conducted the Camerata Salzburg, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Kammerorchester Basel, and the Orchestre National de France. Langrée has led the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra since 2012 and was named Director of the Mostly Mozart Festival in New York in 2002. He also appears in the documentary In Search of Mozart.
