

Alan Menken
Alan Menken is an American composer and conductor. He composed songs for several animated classics, including The Little Mermaid for which he received Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song. Menken composed popular songs such as Main Titles - The Little Mermaid. He released the albums Beauty and the Beast (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture) with Howard Ashman, Aladdin with Robin Williams and Lea Salonga, and Pocahontas with Jim Cummings and David Ogden Stiers. Menken also released Enchanted (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture) with Amy Adams and Stephen Schwartz. He collaborated on the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid with Lin-Manuel Miranda and appears in the documentary The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story. Menken won the Academy Award for Best Original Musical or Comedy Score in 1995 for his work on the film Pocahontas.
