

Ed Bruce
American country singer and songwriter
Ed Bruce was an American country music singer and songwriter (1939-2021). He wrote Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys, later famously recorded by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Bruce released many albums throughout his career, including 1978's Cowboys & Dreamers, his 1980 self-titled album, and 2002's This Old Hat. Some of his most popular songs include Girls, Women, And Ladies, The Last Cowboy Song with Willie Nelson, and My First Taste of Texas. Bruce also did some acting, appearing in the TV series Bret Maverick and the film Fire Down Below.
