Taj Mahal is an American blues musician. He was a member of the 1960s band the Rising Sons. Mahal released the solo albums Taj Mahal, Swingin': Live at the Church in Tulsa, and TajMo with Keb' Mo'. He has recorded songs such as Will the Circle Be Unbroken, Leaving Trunk, and Statesboro Blues. Mahal has appeared in the films Sounder, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, and the documentary The Rolling Stones: Rock and Roll Circus.
