Cissy Houston was an American singer. She released her solo album debut, Presenting Cissy Houston, in 1970 and several albums with producer Michael Zager. She released The Original: Cissy Houston and later collaborated with her daughter Whitney Houston on the album Whitney Houston in 1985. Some of her popular songs include Family First with Dionne Warwick and Whitney Houston, I Know Him So Well with Whitney Houston, and The Lord Is My Shepherd. Houston appeared in the documentary Whitney, and the films God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness and The Vernon Johns Story.
