Shirley Murdock is an American R&B singer-songwriter. She started out singing gospel music in her native Toledo and was signed to Elektra Records in 1986. She released albums including Shirley Murdock!, A Woman's Point of View, and As We Lay: The Collection. Her most popular songs include As We Lay, Go On Without You, and Husband. Murdock has also appeared in films such as Love Me or Leave Me, Man of Her Dreams, and To Love and to Cherish.
