American country singer and songwriter
June Carter was an American country singer and songwriter. She co-wrote Ring of Fire with Johnny Cash and Time's a-Wastin' with Carl Smith. Among her most popular songs are If I Were a Carpenter and Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man. She released albums Appalachian Pride, Press On and Carryin' On With Johnny Cash & June Carter. Carter appeared in the documentary Johnny Cash! The Man His World His Music,and the films Murder in Coweta County and The Baron and the Kid alongside Johnny Cash. She passed away in 2003.
