Rupert Holmes is a British-American composer and singer-songwriter. He wrote and performed Escape (The Piña Colada Song), Him and Answering Machine, and released the albums Partners In Crime, Songs That Sound Like Movies: The Complete Epic Recordings, and Widescreen: Collector’s Edition. Holmes has also worked with Barbra Streisand and Sparks. Beyond music, Holmes expanded his career into mystery novel writing.
