Richard Thompson is a British singer, songwriter, and guitarist who is a founding member of Fairport Convention. He recorded albums with Linda Thompson. His solo career includes albums such as Acoustic Classics, Rumor and Sigh, and Ship To Shore. Thompson's most popular songs include 1952 Vincent Black Lightning, Dad's Gonna Kill Me, and Beeswing. He has appeared in the documentary A Winding Road: A Ramble with Richard Thompson.
