Cab Calloway was an American jazz singer (1907-1994). He made his Cotton Club debut in New York City in 1931 and released his signature tune Minnie the Moocher that year, which made him the first African-American musician to sell a million copies of a single. Calloway released albums such as Cab Calloway And His Orchestra? and Hi De Hi De Ho. He appeared in films including Stormy Weather, The Cincinnati Kid, and The Blues Brothers.
