Billie Piper is an English actress. Piper initially rose to fame as a singer when her 1998 debut single Because We Want To made her, then 15, the youngest artist ever to enter the UK Singles Chart at No. 1. She then transitioned to acting, including her most famous role as Rose Tyler in the TV series Doctor Who, and other series including Secret Diary of a Call Girl, The Sally Lockhart Mysteries, and Penny Dreadful. Piper has also ventured into film, writing, directing, and starring in Rare Beasts, and appearing in The Calcium Kid.
